If You Could See Me Now is another of Cecelia Ahern's works that incorporates fantasy into an otherwise literary novel.
Elizabeth is a cold, no-nonsense woman who is very serious and cares about hardly anything aside from business. When her carefree sister leaves her son in Elizabeth's care indefinitely, Elizabeth soon begins to see her nephew's imaginary friend Ivan, only she has no clue he's really imaginary and no one else can see him.
Elizabeth begins to fall in love with Ivan, and he soon teachers her to loosen up and become more of a loving, caring and warm person.
If You Could See Me Now will leave you feeling enchanted, yet will cause you to yearn for a more satisfying and happy-ending closure between Ivan and Elizabeth's characters. This is definitely a touching novel, but my favorite book by Cecelia Ahern is still P.S. I Love You, which has also been made into a movie.
