Released: 2008
Beth Harbison's Shoe Addicts Anonymous is about a group of eclectic women that share a passion and love for designer shoes but can't afford them! After answering an ad online in "gregslist" (the book's version of craigslist of course), the women start meeting on a regular basis to trade shoes and secrets.
Each woman faces her own personal dilemma that is resolved by the book's end with help from one another in their newfound friendships. One woman faces extreme debt, another suffers from agoraphobia, another young woman battles her vindictive employer, and the last woman of the foursome deals with a cheating husband while worrying about upholding a political reputation.
If you are a reader not specifically obsessed with the love of shoes, you'll still find that Shoe Addicts Anonymous is hard to put down and easily engaging. Any fan and reader of chick-lit will absolutely love this book! The sequel is also extremely good, and is called Secrets of a Shoe Addict.
