About Me

I’m nobody special or famous, and I’m not the greatest writer. But to be fair, many authors aren’t great writers, either! I should know.

I was born in 1980 and reading has been my favorite thing to do my entire life. I’ve literally read thousands of books, and I think that makes me qualified as a book reviewer.

I go by Sarah Ann on this website. Up until my early 30s, I took a book with me everywhere I went. I read EVERYWHERE. School, work, doctor’s appointments, road trips, 4-wheeling adventures, Super Bowl parties, and probably a bar, once. I would freak out if I went somewhere and didn’t have a book with me. I was also a member of the Literary Society in high school (earned a letter for it) and participated in book clubs and BookCrossing for years after that.

I used to be a freelance writer, but now I’m a freelance “content strategist”—thanks to AI. I have a big family now, so I’m not glued to books 24/7 like I used to be. I sure do miss that at times, but I love my family so much more!

I’ve contributed to a few book review publications over the years, including Publishers Weekly and RT Book Reviews. I provide ghostwriting services for the healthcare industry, and also have lots of other writing projects going on. I share a little more about it on my Freelance Services page.

I started this website in 2010. Most of the books reviewed on this website are part of my personal collection, mainly just books I’ve picked up from neighborhood book boxes and thrift stores. Sometimes I get books from authors and publishing companies in exchange for honest reviews.

I’m in the United States. I was raised as a military brat and still like to move around a lot, so I’m never in one place for too long. If you want to get in touch, please fill out the contact form below. Thank you!
