Every Boy’s Got One is the 3rd book in the Boy series by Meg Cabot, who also writes the Princess Diaries series. This one is about a tumultuous love-hate relationship, comprised solely of emails and journal entries written by the characters.
Jane Harris is an eccentric cartoonist with a cult following. Cal Langdon is a successful entrepreneur and bestselling author.
Jane and Cal are summoned to Italy by their best friends who plan on eloping, but the two just can’t stand one another. They bicker constantly. However, while on vacation, the duo learn they just might be perfect for one another.
That’s a terribly written synopsis, I know. But that’s basically the gist of the novel.
Jane is modest, but her clumsiness and sarcastic sense of humor make her lovable and endearing. Cal is skeptical about love, which makes sense after learning about his character.
I wish I could remember more about Every Boy’s Got One—what I DO remember is that its characters were incredibly colorful and energetic, and it’s a “feel-good” novel bound to put you in a good mood. Also, it may be important to note the books in the Boy series don’t need to be read in any specific order.
