Mockingjay is the 3rd book in the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins.
After surviving two rounds of Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen is now the Mockingjay—the face of the rebellion.
In this one, Katniss takes refuge in District 13—the underground district that has been kept secret from all other districts. This district is home to people who once served the Capitol, among many other refugees from other districts. She also needs to sort things out with a brainwashed Peeta, who was sent by President Snow to kill Katniss.
Suzanne Collins is simply brilliant. Mockingjay is fascinating and original, and concludes the trilogy nicely. It’s not at all predictable. I won’t waste anymore time talking about this book—it’s already been reviewed, analyzed, and dissected in a million other places online. All I can say is: read it.
Other books in this series include:
- The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes (2020)
- The Hunger Games (2008)
- Catching Fire (2009)
- Sunrise on the Reaping (2025)
What did you think about this book, and how did it make you feel?
