If You Could See Me Now is one of many novels by Cecelia Ahern. This one is cute and fun—it weaves some fantasy elements into the story.
Elizabeth is a cold, serious, no-nonsense woman who cares about hardly anything aside from business. When her carefree sister leaves her son in Elizabeth’s care, she starts to see her nephew’s imaginary friend, Ivan. Except Elizabeth has no clue Ivan is imaginary and that no one else can see him.
Elizabeth starts falling in love with Ivan. Over the course of the book, he teaches her how to loosen up and be more loving, warm, and caring.
If You Could See Me Now is very enchanting, but I yearned for a more satisfying and happy ending between Ivan and Elizabeth. This is definitely a touching novel, but I’ll admit Cecelia Ahern has done better.
Other books by Cecelia Ahern include:
