Morbid Curiosity is a collection of facts about the “Disturbing Demises of the Famous and Infamous.” It details the deaths of movie stars, writers, musicians, and various other celebrities and notorious people.
This book goes into the deaths of recent, contemporary celebrities including Heath Ledger, Michael Jackson, and Natasha Richardson, and goes back even further to the year 453 to discuss Attila the Hun.
I appreciate and enjoy Petrucelli’s blunt and matter-of-fact style. For instance, there have been so many conspiracy theories about the deaths of JFK, Elvis Presley, Hitler, Marilyn Monroe and others. Petrucelli is very confident in his explanations regarding how these people died.
I’m also amused at how the media likes to stretch the truth. For example, John Wayne’s “stomach cancer” was actually colon cancer, which was caused by eating copious amounts of red meat.
Alan W Petrucelli has also written Liza! Liza! An Unauthorized Biography of Liza Minnelli (1983). If only Petrucelli had waited a few more years, he could have gotten way more exciting content for that book.
