Wicked Appetite is the 1st book in the Lizzy and Diesel mystery series by Janet Evanovich. In case you didn’t know, Diesel is a recurring character in the Between the Numbers editions of the Stephanie Plum series.
This one takes place in Salem, Massachusetts and features heroine Elizabeth “Lizzy” Tucker. Lizzy is a baker with a knack for making perfect cupcakes. She’s also descended from a line of witches.
When sexy bad-boy Diesel enters her life, Lizzy learns she has a unique power to find “empowered objects.” Diesel needs these objects to prevent his darker, more dangerous cousin Wulf from taking over the world. So Lizzy, Diesel, and her crazy friends go on a silly adventure to find these mystical objects.
If you enjoy the Stephanie Plum series, you’ll probably like these, too. It’s basically the same style writing with different characters. Like Stephanie, Lizzy also has two new dark, sexy, mysterious men in her life she’ll need to juggle.
Wicked Appetite has lots of laugh out loud moments, if you enjoy silly humor. Personally, I think I’ve outgrown Janet Evanovich, but this one makes for a light, fun read.
