Destiny is the 1st book in the the Rogue Angel series by Alex Archer. Apparently, Alex Archer is a pen name for a bunch of ghostwriters who work for the Harlequin label.

There are 65 books in this series now, so if you like it, you’ll be busy for months to come (or days, or weeks, or however you do it).

Rogue Angel Destiny

I’m not overly familiar with Lara Croft and Tomb Raider, but this book reminded me of that story.

Annja Creed is an intelligent young archaeologist and explorer. She finds an artifact and then has bad guys coming after her…honestly, the book’s synopsis on Amazon is way better than my recap could ever be.

Destiny launches into pure action without giving us any background information about Annja. It’s basically just pure action and adventure from beginning to end.

Annja is very likable. She’s modest and intelligent.

The first part of Destiny is mostly about Annja’s mysterious archaeology expedition. When she goes to home to New York later on, we finally get a glimpse of her personal life and background. This was cool, because by this point because I was simply dying to know more about her character.
