Aphrodite book cover

Aphrodite is a cleverly written suspense novel about stem cell research and the pharmaceutical industry, and about how the government wants to keep it all a secret from the American people.

At the beginning of Aphrodite, we’re introduced to a few diverse characters and given a brief background on each before they’re murdered. We learn that a mysterious entity named Aphrodite is making these people die.

Detective Justin Westwood is put in charge of the case. When he learns about the Aphrodite, he goes on the lam with one of the witnesses to hide from the government, which wants to silence them permanently now that they know about Aphrodite.

Aphrodite is such a great book because it’s so suspenseful. I love Westwood’s character because he’s clever, no-nonsense, and gets straight to the point. I was officially hooked after getting to know Susanna and learning the mystery surrounding William Miller. I also really enjoyed the conspiracy theory about the government and pharmaceutical industry, which was absolutely brilliant.
