Die Trying

Die Trying is the 2nd book in the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. These books are badass.

Jack Reacher is wandering the streets of Chicago when suddenly, he just has to play hero to prevent a woman in crutches from falling down. Moments later, Reacher and the woman are held at gunpoint and thrown in the trunk of a car.

Reacher soon learns that the woman, Holly Johnson, is actually an FBI agent. She has a prominent father and is being held hostage by a militia group with nutso views and demands. Realizing he’s on the brink of being murdered, Reacher must fight for his life while saving others in the process.

Die Trying isn’t written in first person like Killing Floor, which is fine. The story flips back and forth between Reacher’s situation and the FBI office in Chicago. This one takes place over a few days and is action-packed all the way through, making for a quick read.

There are now 30 books in the Jack Reacher series. Wow! The books that come after Die Trying are:
