Yours for the Taking is the 4th book in the Domestic Gods series by Robin Kaye. It’s cute and entertaining, though a bit far-fetched.
Ben Walsh is a handsome, sexy, and successful businessman who wants to inherit his grandfather’s Idaho ranch, except there’s one catch: Ben must get married and settle down in order to receive his inheritance.

The problem is that Ben is a major playboy. He wants a woman to be his wife on paper only for the sake of getting the ranch. So Ben chooses Gina Reyez, a sexy Latina with lots of attitude. Ben says he’ll provide her and her family with lots of money if she marries him and pretends to be his wife for his grandfather’s benefit.
But of course, Ben falls irresistibly in love with Gina and vice versa. And as romance novels go, they live happily ever after.
What’s funny about Yours for the Taking is that Gina assumes Ben is gay for the first part of the book. But it’s hard to really love this one, mainly because Gina is too annoying, and too much of a diva. Its sex scenes are okay—they aren’t too cheesy, and they aren’t too raunchy.
Overall, this was a so-so contemporary romance novel, and I probably won’t be reading any more by this author.

- Home to You (2015)
