Aunt Dimity Down Under is the 15th book in the Aunt Dimity mystery series by Nancy Atherton. It’s also the FIRST novel in a cozy mystery series that made me cry.

Lori Shepherd and all the townspeople of Finch are busily preparing for the wedding between Nell and Kit—the town’s most prized and model couple. But the wedding is put on hold when Ruth and Louise Pym wind up on their death beds.

Because Lori is well known for her sleuthing abilities, the Pym sisters call on her to locate their long-lost relative, Aubrey. Lori goes to New Zealand to search for Aubrey, which ends up being one of the most important jobs she’s ever done in her life.

Aunt Dimity Down Under is by far the best book in this series. Losing the Pym sisters is heartbreaking, and also a bit devastating. All the characters are aging throughout the series, so it had to happen at some point.

I remember the Pym sisters were mentioned being around a century old back in the very first Aunt Dimity book. I love the story in this one, too. The wild scavenger hunt Lori embarks on to find Aubrey Pym is super fun.
