Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea is the 2nd memoir comedy book by Chelsea Handler. It’s a bit tamer than her first one called My Horizontal Life. But I guess you probably shouldn’t read these if you’re looking for something tame.
This particular book features a bunch of stories about random, memorable moments in Chelsea’s life. And when I say random, I mean random. She discusses her love for midgets, and her disgust with red-haired men. She also talks about killing pet fish.
Chelsea Handler is the raunchy girlfriend I always wished I could have. I don’t think many other people would talk about the stuff featured in this book.
Prison Break is my favorite chapter in Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea. She talks about her experience going to jail, and then to prison, after she gets pulled over for a DUI and is found guilty of fraud. Lots of funny stuff in that chapter.
Other books I’ve reviewed by Chelsea Handler are Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang and My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands.
