What the Dead Know by Laura Lippman

Laura Lippman is an amazing author because all her novels are great. This one is no exception.

In What the Dead Know, two young sisters disappear from a shopping mall in 1975 and are never seen or heard from again.

Now, in present day, one of the sisters comes forward to share her account of what really happened that day. However, it’s highly possible this woman may be an imposter.

What the Dead Know

What the Dead Know is incredibly fun and engaging. I like how we get to solve the mystery at the same time as the detectives in the book, because I certainly don’t remember very many obvious clues, if there were any at all.

This book is also a true page-turner. I found myself reading it at work, in the car, and during every spare moment I had. It’s just so engaging, well written, and artfully put together.

I’d love to share more about how fun the mystery was in this one, but I’d accidentally reveal spoilers if I did that. You just have to read it yourself to find out!
