Poison Ivory is the 15th book in the Den of Antiquity mystery series by Tamar Myers.
When Abigail buys an antique rosewood linen chest for her mother, she’s arrested on suspicion of trafficking ivory illegally. After she gets her ex-husband Buford to bail her out of jail, Abigail begins her amateur sleuthing adventure to uncover the real identity of the ivory trafficker.

Poison Ivory is packed with lots of random, off-the-wall humorous tidbits and misadventures—in fact, it’s a bit TOO zany and wacky. The goofy euphemisms in this series have gotten old, as well as C.J.’s ramblings. I couldn’t finish Poison Ivory, because it was far too ridiculous. Book #14, called Death of a Rug Lord, was also terrible.
There’s only one book left in the Den of Antiquity series: #16 – The Glass Is Always Greener (2011). I regret to say this series isn’t very timeless, and it’s safe to skip it all together.
Other books by Tamar Myers include:
- The Dark Side of Heaven (2006)
- The Mermaid Mystery (2024)
- Cousins From a Distant Sun (2026)
What did you think about Poison Ivory, or about the Den of Antiquity series in general?
