Running Blind by Lee Child

Running Blind

Running Blind is the 4th novel in the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. This series is amazing!

In Running Blind, former military cop Jack Reacher is arrested for being the top suspect in a case where former military women are being murdered. All victims had been sexually harassed while in the service. When it’s obvious Reacher isn’t the killer, the FBI brings him on as a consultant to help track the killer and warn the other women before it’s too late.

All the victims in this book are found in bathtubs filled with Army-issued paint. There are no bruises, signs of struggle, or other trace evidence. It’s almost as if the victims willed their hearts to stop on their own so they could die.

Reading this book will make you feel like a total bad-ass because the author teaches combat as it’s happening. Reacher has supremely elite combat skills. There are lots of great fighting and self-defense tips packed into each novel that are completely legit.

For instance, thanks to Running Blind, I know that if someone comes at me with a baseball bat, I should rush them straight on so they can’t pack too much leverage behind a swing. I also know to hit people in the head with my elbow if I’m in a fight. I’ll be able to say “All I need to know about combat I learned from Jack Reacher.”

Other Reacher books I’ve read and reviewed include:

There are now 30 books in the Jack Reacher series, wow! What do you think about these books?

You know, I really should start reading Lee Child books. I'm hooked to those shows on TV like criminal minds. They totally fascinate me and it sounds like his books would too.

You should! They are amazing!! You'd be hooked. The first novel in the series is Killing Floor – after you make it through that one, good luck tearing yourself away.

Lol. That's what I'm afraid of- getting hooked to another series! I have so many I'm trying to keep up with. 🙂
