Give the Dog a Bone is the 3rd book in the Allie Babcock series by Leslie O’Kane, who also writes the Ghost Mom mystery series.

In this one, dog therapist and behaviorist Allie Babcock helps a crazy guy named Ken Culberson with training his dog when he thinks it’s channeling the spirit of his dead wife. Fun side note: Ken is a millionaire, but for some reason he lives in a trailer.

Shortly afterward, Ken dies, and Allie is named the dog’s legal guardian. After that, she goes after finding out who whacked Ken for his millions.
